RESULTS from coaches
Girls Varsity Basketball
Varsity Girls lost to Tri Unity Christian on Thursday night. The Saxons trailed by 6 at half after a pair of big baskets from Lily McFarlan and Olivia Friddle. The Saxons cut the lead to 4 in the third quarter, until hot shooting from Tri Unity put the game out of reach. Second half points from TenLeigh Nichols and Naomi Cook, Olivia Friddle, and Bayley Smith paced the Saxons on the offensive end. Saxons move on to districts on Monday vs Lakewood at Haslett.
Girls Freshman Basketball
Last night, the Freshman Saxons traveled to South Haven High School for their last game of the season. The girls came out strong and were only down by 2 at the half. However, South Haven came back with vengeance and took the W in the end. The Saxons were led in scoring by Evelynn Webb, Emerson Leary, Hadley Grove, and Lainah Brasher. The Saxons showed amazing sportsmanship last night, some of the best sportsmanship their coach has ever seen. It has been a great, hard-fought season. Way to go, ladies!
