MANDATORY SENIOR MEETING

The last required Senior Meeting is Tuesday, May 12, at 2:00 PM in the HPAC. We will be reviewing final details for graduation, including due bills, and distributing honors cords. REMINDERS

PARENT ADVISORY MEETING

Please join us for a Parent Advisory Meeting on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00–7:00 PM at Hastings High School. Topics will include academic advancement opportunities (Dual Enrollment, AP, Early Middle College, CTE), scheduling, counseling resources, online learning options, and ways for parents to get and stay involved. HONOR GUARD

JUNIOR HONOR GUARD

Hey Juniors, if you are interested in representing your class at graduation as an Honor Guard this year, please complete the application in your email by next Wednesday, May 13th.

Four Juniors will be selected by Mrs. Heide. Honor Guards should be students of good character and citizenship. Duties will involve assisting at our graduation ceremony on May 21. Duties may include assisting with guiding seniors to/from the stage, helping and out programs, etc. If you have any questions, please come see Mrs. Maurer! (5/13)

 

 

 

BARRY COUNTY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

YOUTH QUEST
Applications are being accepted for Youth Quest, a weekend long leadership program for Barry County youth entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in the 2026-2027 school year. This program challenges youth in areas of team building, leadership, goal setting, and problem solving. It takes place at YMCA Camp Algonquin. The cost is $25/student.

This role supports concrete cutting and drilling projects by assisting the main operator with job site tasks, equipment preparation, and site cleanup. The Operator Assistant helps ensure projects run smoothly while following safety protocols and maintaining high-quality service standards. This is a part-time, entry-level position (no experience using slab saws, core drills, and wall saws) with an opportunity to learn a valuable trade. Applicants must be 18 years old at hire. RESULTS from coaches

Track & Field

The Girls Track and Field team competed last Friday at the Alma Invite, taking home the 2nd place trophy in the big school division, and 3rd overall. Taking home some individual hardware was: 

·  Olivia Friddle, 1st in shot put and pole vault, 2nd in discus with a throw of 129ft 8ins, an early state qualifying mark and breaking a 49 year old school record

·  Bella Friddle, 1st in the 100m (2nd fastest time in school history), 1st in high jump, 1st in long jump

·  Caroline Randall, 1st in the 1600 and 3200, 2nd in the 800

·  Riley Furrow, 5th in the 400m

·  Lilly Randall, 7th in the 400m

·  London Hammond, 7th in pole vault 

·  The 4x4 team of L. Randall, Furrow, Cook, B. Friddle took 5th

·  The 4x8 team of Pirtle, Warner, Lewis, and Villareal took 6th

·  The 4x1 team of Furrow, Tomanawska, L. Randall, and O. Friddle took 7th

The Boys Tack team finished 5th in the big school division and 7th overall at the Alma Invitational Friday. 

Scorers for the boys were:

Joey Renner with a 7th place finish in the 110 hurdles

Odin Twiss with a 3rd place finish in discus

Austin Friddle with a 5th place finish in discus

Matthew Shults with an 8th place finish in discus

Liam Renner with a second place finish in pole vault

Isaac Lilley with took fourth place in pole vault

The 4x100 team of Evan Jacobs, Pau Crespo, Isaac Lilley, and Odin Twiss with a 7th place finish

The 4x400 team of Logan Kimmel, Maverik Peake, Jace Acker, and Balian Marlette with a 7th place finish

The 4x800 team of Caleb Kramer, Kellen Boge, Parker Erb, and Payton Haines took 7th place

 

The Saxons run at home tonight and celebrate their seniors and exchange students at 5pm. Be there!
