Float Building begins Sunday, September 13. Check your grade level schedule in the hallways or online for building days, time and locations.
Homecoming Dance Tickets
Dance tickets go on sale Monday September 14! They will be available at both lunches for $15 each. Tickets may only be purchased for individual’s 9th grade - 20 years of age. If you plan on bringing a guest from another school, please obtain a guest form at the ticket table and get it back to the main office no later than Thursday September 24. Only students of high
school age -20 will be permitted at the dance.
Powder Puff
The Powder Puff game will take place on Tuesday, September 22nd at 7pm! Plan to come for the game and stay for the bonfire immediately after.

JUNIORS PSAT/NMSQT
Class of 2028: Please contact Mrs. Hawthorne by Wednesday, September 16 if you are interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) on Thursday, October 8th.
There will be an $18 fee, unless the student qualifies for free or reduced lunch. Payment is due on 9/16. If payment is not received, students will not be registered for the test.
The PSAT/NMSQT is the only qualifying test for the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®).

Attention Freshman - There will be a Homecoming Link event on Tuesday, September 15, during the last half of 2nd hour in the gym. You will learn all about the many homecoming events and have some fun with your group. (9/15)

Lifeguard Certification Course
Dates:

Some online coursework must be completed before the in-person sessions.

The City to Students application is open and has been sent to 9th and 10th grade emails. This is really unique opportunity for students to be involved in their local government. The application and parent permission slips are due by October 14. Permission slips can be turned into Ms. Putnam in room, B205. If you need a permission slip, please see me for copy. BPA
Students interested in developing essential skills in business, finance, and technology are invited to attend the first Business Professionals of America (BPA) meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd at 3:00 PM. As a premier career and technical student organization, BPA prepares students for the modern workforce by building leadership, professionalism, and academic excellence. Members gain hands-on experience through the Workplace Skills Assessment Program—featuring over 100 competitive events in fields like digital media and management—and have the opportunity to showcase their talents at regional, state, and national levels, culminating at the National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado, in May 2027. RESULTS from coaches
Girls Golf
Hastings Girls Golf teed off in cold, foggy conditions on Monday morning at Marywood Golf Course for their final I-8 Jamboree of the season, finishing fifth. Junior Lilli Edger led the team, carding an 87 to finish third individually — her sixth top finish of the year. The Saxons battled some rough conditions early and found their footing as the day warmed up.
Boys Tennis
The Boys' Tennis team hosted Parma on Monday. Owen Boge dominated his match at first singles with strong serving and forehands and took an 8-1 win. Though they could not convert to a win, close matches were played by Greg Rutkowski at third singles and at first doubles by Aiden Newell and Cody Garms.
