SENIOR REMINDERS
CAP AND GOWN
Graduation will be here before we know it! Reminder to all Seniors that your cap and gown orders need to be completed no later than April 10th. Cap and gown orders take a minimum of four weeks to ship. Please note that pricing and turnaround time will change as we get closer to the big day.
If you have not yet placed your order, please do so as soon as possible to ensure it arrives in time for graduation. If you have any questions or concerns about your cap and gown order, please stop into the office and see Ms. Maurer. (4/10)
SENIOR PHOTOS
Reminder that all toddler photos and senior portraits are due April 2nd! If they are not submitted by then we will be using your school ID photos. Please email them to 31olivia.bucher@hastingsstudents.org.

YEARBOOK
Yearbook Recognition Ads are the perfect way to commemorate achievements and celebrate milestones. Revenue from Recognition Ads helps our school create a better yearbook. Please include your senior's photo and a message for them. If paying by check, please make it out to Hastings High School. If you are paying with cash, please drop off at the high school office in a sealed envelope with your contact information and attention: James Moray, HS advisor. COMPUTER REPAIR
Student device drop off for repair will take place in the main office for the next three weeks. Devices for creating tickets are in the office near Mr. Sensiba's desk.
Please create a ticket on the chromebooks available, then write your name and asset tag # on one of the papers available. Tuck the paper in your laptop or chromebook with your name sticking out and put it in the turn in bin. A loaner will be available by the following morning and can be picked up in the student pickup bin - only take the device with your name on it. (4/2)

FAFSA Completion Celebration
Seniors, put the FAFSA Completion Celebration on your calendar! April 2 in the HPAC! It’s for all seniors, but if you have completed the FAFSA already or will complete it by March 26, you’ll be eligible for raffles for a bunch of great prizes. Don’t miss out! You have to be present to win! (3/20)
Campus Visits
Counseling will be hosting a campus visit to Ferris State University on March 27. Sign up and permission slips are in the Counseling Department. As always, factors like your grades, attendance, and behavior are addressed before permission to go is granted. (3/20)

A rep from Grand Rapids Community College will be here next week, and the Ferris rep visit has been rescheduled for March 24. If interested, sign up in Naviance today! (3/20)
SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS
- The Woody Wyngarden Scholarship application is open to seniors pursuing a college degree in either health care or education. For more details regarding eligibility requirements, view the application HERE. The application deadline is April 2. (3/20)
-Applications for the Highpoint Community Bank Educational Scholarship are open to high school seniors going into a post-secondary education program in finance or a business-related field. - The Union Bank Scholarship application is open to graduating seniors pursuing college or trade school education in fields, such as education and healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, culinary arts, skilled trades, construction, architecture, technology and infrastructure, agriculture, environmental sciences, and finance. Applications are available at ubmich.com/scholarship and must be submitted via email to unionbank@ubmich.com no later than Friday, April 10. (3/20)

- The Lakewood Choral Society Scholarship is open to a graduating senior who will be majoring in voice performance or music education at a 4-year accredited college. The application can be accessed online at www.lacsmusic.org or from your high school choir director. The deadline is Wednesday, April 15th, 2026. (3/20)
- The MSFAA Early Awareness and Multicultural Outreach Scholarship is accepting applications for seniors who have a 2.5 gpa or better, and who will take at least 12 credit hours at college in Fall 2026. Click HERE for the application. The deadline to apply is April 17. (4/17)

CLUBS
GSA
The next HHS GSA meeting will be held today, Thursday, March 19, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Ms. Putnam's room, B205. We will be hosting a guest speaker from the Barry County Community Mental Health Authority. All are welcome. Bring a friend. (3/19)
NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY
Attention all NHS members, we will have a meeting on Wed. March 25 at 7:30am in Mrs. Warner's room. We will be voting on some items, so make sure you attend. (3/24)
SAXON STORE
The Saxon Store will be hosting the yearly March Madness Best Bracket Contest. Students will receive an email from Mr. Erb with a link and directions on how to sign up on Monday March 16th. All brackets must be submitted by 9:00 am on March 19th before the first game starts. For more information, swing by the Saxon Store and talk with Mr. Erb.
There will be Prizes for the top 10 places with first place prize being a $50 gift card to a place of your choice. (3/19)

RESULTS from coaches
Boys Track & Field
Yesterday the boy's track team competed at the GVSU Laker Challenge Indoor meet. After being stuck inside the building for practice the past week, the team was ready to travel to Allendale and compete against schools from all over West Michigan. The Saxons had many indoor personal bests and a lot of great races/performances. The Girls Track team travels to GVSU today and both teams open up the Conference slate against Harper Creek at home on Tuesday.
